Tips for travelling to Valencia with a dog: beach rules, the dog beach, walks and how booking with a pet works at Perlamar.
At Perlamar
All five apartments welcome pets: up to two small ones or one large one, with a per-stay fee. Tick the option in the search when booking and tell us if your dog needs anything.
On the beach
During the bathing season, city rules do not allow dogs on the sand at Las Arenas or Malvarrosa. The City Council sets up a dog area on Pinedo beach, south of the port; check its website for each year’s dates and conditions.
Walks
The promenade is perfect early in the morning and at sunset, on a lead. The Turia Gardens, the old riverbed, offer kilometres of shade and green space.
Terraces
Many terraces on the promenade welcome dogs. Always carry water and bags: in summer the pavement gets very hot at midday.
